James T. Collins - Secretary

As a lifetime resident of Montclair, Jim has been part of the culture and arts scene here for many years.  Mostly through the Watchung Mountain Riders, a band he co-founded over 16 years ago, he has had the honor of being involved in some fantastic local music events.

Some of these include sharing the stage as one of the headliners along with one of his legendary guitar heroes Billy Hector at the first annual Tierney's Tavern Music Festival to celebrate her 80th birthday.

Through his longtime friendship and music project The Bobs, he has had the honor of working with The 100th Monkey Founder and President Doug Gillespie on many musical endeavors, including the annual Jerry Garcia Festival, the Last Waltz Tribute, and the Ramble in the Ridge.

Jim’s friendship with local residents on the Board of Directors of the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair, New Jersey, prompted him to offer his contracting services and time to this outstanding organization.  He is also an avid fan and supporter of Jazz House Kids, another fine organization that works to keep the art form of performing live Jazz music alive and well within the younger generations of musicians in the Montclair area.

After working in the corporate world as a construction manager, Jim has settled back into remodeling and restoring residential homes in Montclair.

When not playing or seeing live music, you will find him out on the golf course any chance he can get.  Four!
