The 100th Monkey Foundation LLC has been busy lately dropping off some checks to some of the fantastic organizations serving our area.

We have counter-clockwise, starting from the top:

Trish Malone from Angels of Animals, Inc. attempts to hold back Sparrow from planting a kiss on a 100th Monkey Board member, who clearly doesn’t seem the slightest bit against it. A of A is a selfless group of people dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of homeless animals with exceptional medical needs.

Patrick Burns, founder and director of the Bloomfield Youth Band, who is also Professor of Music, Dance and Theatre at the New Jersey City University and Adjunct Professor in the Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, holds up a check after a lovely breakfast at Chalet Coffee Shop. Founded in 1986, the BYB is a community youth wind ensemble that performs several times a year. Don’t miss the next concert!

Next is Best Day Foundation Treasurer and Glen Ridge Town Administrator Mike Zichelli, hanging loose in Town Hall. This wonderful organization enables children and young adults with special needs to build confidence and self-esteem through adventure activities which stretch their limits, expand their true potential, reinforce their achievement, & connect them with diverse populations in their community.

We also have Candi and Emerson Carter from We’ve Got Friends, an awesome social network for teens with special needs to help them connect with new friends. This program helps these teens develop their very own social groups through music, meals, movement, crafts, dance and more. With them is 100th Monkey Board member Linda Jeffers Russell.

Finally, we handed over a check to Toni’s Kitchen volunteer-extraordinaire Carol Costello who, with the help of her husband John Hartinger (Thank you both!), assisted us with our annual Busking for Humans fundraiser and food drive for Toni’s, a food ministry run out of St. Luke’s Church in Montclair.

Please make sure you check out all of these wonderful organizations and people serving our community.

You’ll never walk alone!
